Peru and Chile
April/May 2013
Two Very Different Places

This was my second visit to South America but my first to Peru. Sumi, my wife and traveling companion, had been there 20 years ago.

My notions of Peru until now had been pan flutes, altitude sickness, bowler hats and of course, Machu Picchu.  Photos

This was my first visit to Chile as well. Santiago was very smoggy like Los Angeles used to be. They have an inversion layer too.  About the trip

I would eventually like to visit the Patagonia area of Chile but for now Santiago was my gateway to Easter IslandPhotos
